Covid- 19 has deeply shaken our mental health in this day and age. Challenges of the virus and isolation have forced us to look deeper into ourselves. I have noticed that people are nowadays more open-minded to alternative and art-based healing methods. We search for help and encouragement through the experiences of others from written quotes and poems. Isolation has given us the opportunity to look for relief and pleasure from within ourselves and led us to create more. Thirst for creation is bigger than ever before. I believe that the mental health sector could benefit hugely from the open-minded professionals who are capable of using alternative- and art-based methods as an aid. When we turn struggling into the form of art, it immediately lowers stigma from mental health issues. Our society desperately needs more alternative and natural ways to improve our mental health.
